Hi, I'm Emily.
I was born and raised in a town called Jackson, smack dab in the middle of "Music Highway" between Memphis (Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll) and Nashville (Music City, USA). I realized I wanted to work in music the first time I ever heard the slap-back echo of early Elvis Presley recordings made at Sun Studio. They really sounded like magic to me as a young kid, and still do. After that, my mind became a sponge to anything music related, especially the creation of songs and sonics. Later on, I earned a music production degree from the University Of Memphis and began recording and mixing music on my own.
I have also been fortunate to be a part of some amazing recording sessions in commercial studios such as Blackbird Studios with Multi-Platinum Producer, Warren Huart.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a Mixing Engineer?
There’s a saying in Nashville that goes, “It’s all about the song”, and I believe passion and emotion are the key ingredients to a great song. A proper mix will enhance these elements, offering the best possible listening experience.
What is Fair Air Music?
Fair Air Music is the name of my music production company that offers mixing, mastering, and co-writing services. The name, Fair Air Music, comes from a sense of balance or “fairness” a musical work must have to ensure a great listing experience, flowing effortlessly as the air around you.
Do you work out of your own studio?
Yes I do. I designed and built all acoustic treatment to fit my ideal listening environment.
How do I send my recorded tracks to you, to mix?
If you are new to this process, make sure you consolidate all of your recorded tracks to the same start and end time. Then, select all tracks of the song and export them as wav. files. Once you have a folder for all the files in your song, you can send them via WeTransfer, DropBox.
Did you go to school for music?
Yes, I have a degree in Entertainment & Music Industry from the University Of Memphis, with a focus on Music Production and Music Business.
Do you write songs?
Doesn't everyone in Nashville write songs?! But seriously, yes and I would love to write with you! I have co-written songs with artists in person as well as via the internet. Send me an email and let's set something up!
What are your prices?
I do not use an hourly rate for my services. Each session I receive is going to be different, so it would not be fair to you or to me if I were to charge by the hour. Prices for a mix will depend on many different variables, such as the number of tracks, editing, tuning, types of prints, mixes for a single, EP, or LP. I will always try and work with your budget as much as possible. Remember, you are receiving a service that will last forever.
